In the third quarter of 2021, the food delivery app market in Malta saw varied performance across the top five applications. Here, we delve into the weekly downloads and active user trends of these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Wolt Delivery: Food and more showed a consistent pattern in weekly downloads. Starting at around 1.4K downloads in early July, it experienced a slight dip to 1.1K by early August. However, by mid-September, downloads climbed back to approximately 1.5K before dropping to under 1K towards the end of September.

Bolt Food also displayed a steady trend in weekly downloads. The app started Q3 with around 950 downloads and maintained similar figures throughout the quarter, with a minor dip to 755 downloads in late August. By the end of September, downloads had decreased to around 600.

Just Eat ITA Cibo a Domicilio experienced fluctuating weekly downloads. Starting with just 6 downloads in late June, it saw significant jumps, peaking at 159 in mid-September. The app concluded the quarter with around 94 downloads.
